TRAINING NEEDS:

The Hampshire House is the company that owns the Cheers brand and the Bull and Finch Pub, on which the Cheers TV series was based. The Hampshire House is also a five-story restaurant and event center. The company approached us because their international kitchen and restaurant staff, mostly Latin American, needed to improve their basic English skills to communicate better with managers and guests.

OUR TRAINING SOLUTIONS:

English League assessed applicants' current English skills and divided them into four groups for appropriate levels of training. We then created a job-specific English training course for the kitchen staff and restaurant staff. The training was provided on-site and class times were adapted to employees' available study times.

The following solutions were provided (click for course descriptions):

English as a Second Language training:
· Basic skills
· Accent reduction
· Listening comprehension
