1. Get
involved
As a client, the fastest way to blunder a translation project is to wash
your hands of the whole process. If you do not invest time to brief and remain available to your
suppliers for questions, there is little chance
you will get exactly what you want or need.
It may take only 10 minutes longer than telling
your assistant to "get this translated," but if the right person spends those
10 minutes chatting to the translator
(or even the project manager), you will probably
save money and stress further
down the line.
List what you need, communicate it, and remain involved and available for questions.
